MMUST ATTRACTS YET ANOTHER BENCHMARKING PEER AS KOITALEEL SAMOEI UNIVERSITY COLLEGE VISITS!

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has attracted yet another benchmarking peer institution, with the visit of Koitaleel Samoei University College. Today, MMUST hosted an Ad Hoc Committee from Koitaleel Samoei University College for benchmarking on MMUST’s Scheme of Service for Human Resource, Use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in examination processes. Koitaleel Samoei College is a Constituent College of University of Nairobi.

A SECTION OF MMUST MEDICAL LABORATORY STAFF RECEIVES CERTIFICATES FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF COVID-19 TESTING TRAINING

A number of staff from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, yesterday 18^th January 2022, were awarded certificates by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo. This was after successful completion of a training on COVID- 19 testing.

The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor who applauded the team for endeavoring to undergo the COVID- 19 testing training at the time when the world required skilled personnel in the field.

MMUST RENEWS ITS COLLABORATION WITH KAKAMEGA SPORTS CLUB IN A BID TO EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR STAFF AND STUDENTS

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), has today,18^th January 2022, formally renewed its existing collaboration with Kakamega Sports Club (KSC) through an exchange of signed copies of MOU between the two parties. This MOU was first signed in July 2017. The renewed MOU contains additional areas of collaboration, including capacity building, training in sports and resource sharing.

MMUST WEVARSITY SACCO CONDUCTS RECRUITMENT DRIVE TO ENROLL MORE MEMBERS

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology Wevarsity Sacco has today 11^th January 2022, conducted a recruitment drive to enroll more staff members into the Sacco. The drive was steered by the Sacco leadership led by Chairman, Dr. David Alilah, Treasurer, Mr. Evans Nandasaba and Vice Chairman Mr. Chris Nakitare.

MMUST SPORTS TEAMS CLINCH TOP POSITIONS AT KENYA UNIVERSITIES’ SPORTS FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIPS

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology’s sports men and women recently scooted ahead of their opponents in a show of great sportsmanship to clinch top positions at the Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF) Championships. The event attracted over twenty -five (25) Universities who participated at the host grounds in Kibabii University from 18^th -21^st December 2021.

MMUST MANAGEMENT APPRECIATES ITS STAFF THROUGH A HIGHLY DECORATED THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON TO MARK END YEAR 2021

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has today, Wednesday, 22^nd December, 2021, appreciated its staff for an exemplary service delivery throughout 2021 by engaging them in a well decorated Thanksgiving Luncheon.

The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Solomon Shibairo who expressed gratitude to the University staff for the exemplary work they have done in the year 2021 that has seen MMUST make tremendous growth in diverse fields. “I am thankful for the unwavering support accorded to me the entire MMUST community since I took reigns of this University.During my tenure,  I would like to ensure that MMUST becomes the place where everyone desires to work,” stated Prof. Shibairo.  

MMUST HOLDS A WORKSHOP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN A BID TO BETTER THEIR STAY IN THE UNIVERSITY

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) through the Directorate of International Relations and Academic Linkages (DIAL) on Thursday 9^th December 2021 held a one-day workshop for International Students to share their experiences on and off the University in a bid to better their stay in the country.  

The workshop was steered by the Director DIAL, Dr. Catherine Aurah who informed students and staff members present about the ‘Friendship Family Program' that she will be rolling out jointly with her team to address challenges of being far from home. 

MMUST JOINS THE REST OF THE WORLD TO COMMEMORATE DISABILITY AWARENESS DAY

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) on Thursday, 16^th December 2021 joined the rest of the world in celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities(IDPD) which is observed annually on 3^rd December. This was declared in 1992, by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. The commemoration of this day at MMUST was organized through the AIDS Control, Gender and Disability Mainstreaming Unit (ACGDMU) and took place at the Main Catering Unit(MCU) hall, main campus in Kakamega County.
