Ms. Susan N Nyasinga

Ms. Susan N Nyasinga,HSC, holds a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Dayster University, a bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Nairobi (UON), Higher Diploma in Human Resources and  Psychological Counseling from Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and Kenya Institute of Professional Counseling (KIPC) respectively, 

She holds several Advanced Certificates in Leadership, Management, Women in Leadership, Juvenile Treatment and Child Protection from Kenya School of Government (KSG)and UNAFEI-Japan among other colleges.
She brings to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) a wealth of experience and Knowledge in Mental Health and Wellness Strategies, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Treatment of Vulnerable groups and those in difficult circumstances, Policy formulation, Research and Capacity building , Co-ordination of Donors from all walks of  life and funded projects, Leadership and management skills, acquired over a period of thirty three (33) years as a civil Servant who rose  from Social Welfare Officer 1 to Director Welfare in the Ministry of  Interior and National Administration-  Kenya Prisons Service (KPS).
 
Mrs Susan Nyasinga is champion on the Rights of the child and child Protection, a mentor to several College and University students within and outside of Kenya in the field of Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Community Development, Criminology, Security and Offender Rehabilitation. She  was a warded Head of State Commendation medal (HSC) for dedicated Service by the Government of Kenya in 2009.
 
She has also worked closely with other Government agencies like National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA),   Private  Organizations namely;  United  Nations  Office on Drugs and  Crime, Kenya Red Cross, a number of NGOs, CBOs , Colleges and Universities
 
She is also a member of  Kenya Counseling and Psychological Association( KCPA),   Karen Country Club and Parklands Sports Club and a dedicated Member and Servant of God at Karengata Seventh Day Adventist Church.
