Following the appointments of MMUST’s Top Managers, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Solomon Shibairo on Sunday 26 September 2021, hosted a bevy of journalists drawn from various media houses in the region, including West TV, TV Magharibi, Citizen TV, Pendo TV, Nation Newspapers, Standard Newspapers, Radio Citizen and KBC Radio.
Prof. Shibairo who has hit the ground running, was happy to address the Press stating that he is well prepared for the task ahead and that he is determined to take Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology to a higher pinnacle in Science and Technology.

“We want to be a center of excellence in Engineering and are also working with the County Government of Kakamega to make MMUST a center of cancer research and treatment. MMUST is currently offering exceptional degrees such as Bachelor of Science in Paramedical Sciences and Bachelor of Optometry and Vision Sciences besides offering medicinal solutions researched by our scholars to the Community," he said.
