The Senior Sergeant, Mr. Wycliffe Bwali, who was representing the Officer-In-Charge ACP Japheth Onjiri, thanked the University for the donation stating that it will improve their services to inmates. Concurring with his counterpart, the Officer-In-Charge of Social Welfare, Mr. Elijah Mulati said that they are glad to have received such a donation from MMUST. He revealed that the partnership will be extended through the industrial attachment of MMUST students at the prison.

Similarly, Ms. Caroline Munialo, officer-in-charge of Women Welfare mentioned that MMUST is one of the few institutions that care for the inmates. She encouraged the University to offer more services to them including counseling. Her sentiments were echoed by Sergeant Michael Miruka who applauded the University for the goodwill. The team was also accompanied by Mr. Fabian Momanyi and Corporal Webby Mwanje.
