Prof. Stanley Omuterema Oluchiri, PhD

Prof. Stanley Omuterema is an Associate Professor of Applied Environmental Science (Industrial Pollution Management) at the Department of Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, School of Disaster management and Humanitarian Assistance at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He teaches and mentors undergraduate, diploma and certificate students at the department. He advises and supervises postgraduate students on matters of concept papers, proposal writing, field research and theses defences.
His areas of academic research interests are in the fields of Energy and Pollution, Environmental Science, Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, he is a senior researcher in areas of Pollution Control, Waste Management, Disaster Management and Energy Resource Management making him the leading consultant in Environmental management in the country. He is the founder of St. John Ambulance Masinde Muliro University Division
He holds PhD, Environmental Science (Industrial Pollution & Disaster Management) from Moi University (2008), Master of Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University (2011), MSc, Environmental Physical Sciences from Moi University (2008), Bachelor of Technology Education from Moi University (1996) and Certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment from Moi University
He has supervised 10 masters.
