Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology’s Directorate of Career Services and the Marketing unit on 4th and 6th June, 2026, participated in career mentorship programmes at St. Stephen’s Lwanya Girls High School in Busia County and Nova Pioneer Boys School in Eldoret, respectively. The Busia mentorship programme attracted over 1,500 senior school learners drawn from various secondary schools across the County, while the Eldoret event brought together students from several schools who joined Nova Pioneer Boys School for the career mentorship. Collectively, the two engagements reached over 2000 learners, providing them with an opportunity to interact with higher education stakeholders, including MMUST, and receive guidance on academic and career pathways as they prepare for post-secondary education. The MMUST delegation was led by the Ag. Director of Career Services, Dr. Drinold Mbete.
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology has hosted the Western region stakeholder engagement forum on Draft Universities (General) Regulations, 2026. The Forum, organized by the Ministry of Education in consultation with the Commission for University Education (CUE), drew education sector stakeholders from Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya and Busia Counties to submit their comments, views and input on the proposed Regulations. The event took place on Wednesday, 10th June, 2026 and was officially opened by CUE Chairperson, Prof. James Onyango Awino.
