MMUST Hosts Students From the University of South-Eastern Norway Courtesy of EYE-FX Project

MMUST is hosting three students from the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) on an exchange program; courtesy of EYE-FX Project which is sponsored by the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (NOREC). The students including; Mr. Sindre Lehman, Ms. Klaudia Weronika, and Mr. Sarkis Vahan, are undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Optometry and Vision Sciences at the USN. The students who paid a courtesy call to the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Hussein Golicha were received by the Dean, School of Public Health, Biomedical Sciences and Technology- Prof. Edwin Wamukoya alongside the Chairperson of Department, Optometry and Vision Sciences- Dr. Christine Wanjala.

The Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences- MMUST has been in Partnership with the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences - USN for the past two years on the EYE-FX project. The two institutions are finalizing an MOU between them. The students who will be around for three (3) months will not only have Optometry Clinical Experience but will also have community outreach experience. Three participants from MMUST are also set to travel to USN on the exchange program.
