MMUST Launches Public Address System Set to Enhance Aerobic Practical Skills for Students Pursuing Sports Science

 Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology on Tuesday, 29th November, 2022, launched a Public Address System set to enhance aerobic practical skills for the students pursuing Sports Science. The system, earmarked for the Department of Health Promotion and Sports Science was bought by the University to support the aerobics unit of the Department. The launching ceremony, which was held at the Graduation Square, was presided over by the Director, Income Generating Unit, Prof. Charles Tibbs who was representing the DVC, Finance and Administration, Prof. John Kuria Thuo.

The key system will also serve the University staff and students as well as the community. It comes with a wide array of benefits which include; conducting public aerobic sessions as one of the major activities carried out at the department, carrying out departmental public events as well as holding other sports events.

Other notable personalities present during the launch were; the Dean, School of Public Health, Biomedical Sciences and Technology (SPHBS&T), Prof. Edwin Wamukoya, and the Chairperson of the Health Promotion and Sports Science Department, Dr. Elizabeth Mse.

Indeed, the public address system launched by the Department of Health Promotion and Sports Science is a sign that the University is dedicated to promoting sports science. This will enhance the practical skills of the students pursuing Sports Science and other related programs.
