The Virtual Library
Because of the rapid growth and developments in information and communication technologies, the library has set aside a unit to facilitate acquisition, and application of modern technolgies in sourcing and delivery of digital and electronic information. The library has a collection of CD-ROMs and other digital materials, audio and visual resources, besides facilitating access to the internet and our local intranet. Regularized audiovisual services are provided where specific titles are shown or played every day upfront. However, special requests made with prior arrangement are given priority. The unit also offers user support in terms of uptake of computer services and facilitates, participation in exhibitions and coordination of the library’s web content.

As the library continues to strengthen its ICT base in all its operations, the unit also provides information literacy in the form of assisting new users to open email accounts and acquainting them with the use of computers, organizing library orientation and providing instructions on how to use the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)
