The Directorate of ICT was created on 19th January 2009 as a step towards implementing the university’s ICT policy. This function was previously discharged by computer science department under the chairmanship of Mr. Cleophas Kiio currently ICT director in the Kenya bureau of Statistics and later Mr. Juma Kilwake.

The Directorate mandate is to oversee the overall implementation of the University ICT policy statements as contained in the policy document.
