IMG 20170505 WA0001MMUST is committed inculcating positive research culture and skills in graduates and post graduates for a better Africa through organizing workshops in the University.

MMUST-Venda Resarch Training Workshop, currently taking place in the university, entered its third day on Thursday 4th May 2017 is just but one of the means applied by MMUST that will aid in realization of MMUST's dream of having an innovative future generation.

Professor Georges-Ivo Ekosse of University of Venda, South Africa when addressing participants at the workshop discussed profoundly on 'Developing personal research culture' where he challenged the African scholars to use their creativity and invent new ideas. Prof. Ekosse urged scholars to develop a personal research culture, stressing that the future of Kenya lies in the hands of Scholars

He also asked all participants to ensure that they leave the world a better place than they found it by coming up with unique innovations that will help use available resources in the continent.

Professor J. Shiundu of MMUST pleaded with the scholars to ignite the different perspectives of research knowledge they had acquired. He also urged Africans at large to have a positive attitude towards their own researchers as a way to apprehend and support them.

Prof. Shiundu underscored the need to delve into basic research, decrying the bias towards applied research. He added that basic research calls for commitment and patience
