The unique courses include Ethics and Corruption Studies, Conflict Resolution and Disaster Management, among others. The main objective is to train and produce qualified personnel ready to contribute towards capacity building for effective management of infrastructure against disaster and sustainable development of society. The courses further aim at introducing students to ethics, codes and standards of good practice in disaster management.

MMUST maintains collaborations and linkages with other colleges, institutes and centers both locally and internationally. It has linkages with, among others, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Nzoia Sugar Company, Kenya Red Cross Society, Nairobi Aviation College and Zheijing Normal University of China. The linkages aim at promoting the sharing of knowledge and resources of nature for sustainable development and creating an environment in which human beings can survive and realize their potential.

Apart from pursuing academic excellence, the University also strives to promote its students extra curricula activities. Students who join MMUST have a wide range of sports from which they choose. We have participated and excelled in games that range from soccer, basketball, hockey, karate and volleyball. We have also academic and social clubs that are geared to mould the student into a responsible and mature citizen.

Our University made a first among the country’s public universities when it recently launched a radio station (MMUST FM 103.9). It is of its kind in Kenya, giving our Journalism and Mass Communication students a hands-on approach to their profession.

On the one hand, faculties as well as the administration office at MMUST work hard in support of students’ needs. On the other, our faculty members have been known to be well versed in their disciplines and recognized for their teaching skills and commitment. They share a passion for the pursuit of knowledge and consistently challenge students to expand their minds and hearts.

I thank you for taking time to visit our website and share our vision. I would also like to believe that the site will attempt to answer some of the questions you wish to ask about MMUST and our academic programmes.
